tofupotpie Solid album. Well mixed and with a Great assortment of instrumentation. Love the dance-art-rock sound. Thoughtful lyrics as well. Favorite track: Ripped and Dumb.
Ben Harris

Ben Harris Anybody else reminded of Rico's album Violent Silences? Brings me treacherously close to feeling nostalgic for the early 2000's, when rock and indie had the capacity to enthrall and entertain me, before my brain was irreparably pickled by more outré and excessively lo-fi fare. Favorite track: Doom Journalism.

impressivelad Deserves a lot more attention, plenty of clever wordplay and commentary, brilliant and energetic vocal performance all around. Seriously, these lyrics are clever, touches on everything from media hysteria to far right radicalisation. Reminds me of Squid but this band definitely has their own thing going on with a more dance punk focus. The bassline on Doom Journalism is nuts. Favorite track: Doom Journalism.

You wouldn’t want to make the public wait Scraped prescriptions at a family-friendly rate* you’ve got masters and the punks. ipecac, stomach pumps we all want to get down. Spreading a mystery all around town! “sympathetic, so pathetic for the folks in town.” $15 for connections with with no money down. So take your tips, and trade ‘em for a ziploc bag chemically identical, they act the exact same way. you’ve got standouts and the snakes sick notes from the flakes they all want to get down. sending the runners all around the town it’s not a crime if you stare right in the face. you see a need and you move into that space. high collars up outside of red hot ranch eli lilly never really stood a chance. you’ve got novice and expertise cat pills from overseas we all want to get down. (Down down down down down down) Running the bosses out of our town. we’re only trying to get what’s truly ours. public money funded, research hidden behind bars. enjoy ride as long as they can. the best medicine is hunger for the blood of man. you’ve got masters and your punks claw marks In the trunk. why walk away? when you could be making twice the rate? Don’t you dare try to walk away Don’t you dare try to walk away!

desperation breeds failure, and failure success
so keep pricking your fingers, and bleeding at your desk.
oh, who knows? who knows? let it go, wherever it goes. blood in the breezeway, wind turbines on fire. source trusted reports from business insider oh, who knows? who knows? lets just see where this goes markets rise and markets fall, movements die but most of all fear is the engine, and they are the wheels we are the driver refusing to steer. rats on the tv, they claim it’s complex. guys in the alley, bleed out of their necks. markets rise, markets fall but most of all: I’m a cowboy bby, i’m a goddamn rough rider. i’m peter godamn lisagor. i’m a beautiful michelin star i’ve attached a copy of my work.
i’ve attached three personal and three professional references. i’m the one you need!

this year’s the year that I get ripped and quit my job. start scooping protein out of a huge white plastic jug. get too jacked up to fit into my car. start doing boring shit like playing the guitar. I won’t be bought, sold or told to take a chance. I won’t be lured in by cheers of circumstance. I won’t believe you when you try to make amends. cause I don’t like you or any of your friends. when the tough gets going, twist the knife dig your heels in, stand up get it right. when the tough gets going, twist the knife dig your heels in aw fuck. this year, this time, this pass I move beyond myself. and wash my ass the same as everybody else. the oroborous holding off to take a breath, screaming out when I bite down on my legs (hey). when the tough gets going, twist the knife dig your heels in, get it right. when the tough gets going, twist the knife dig your heels in.

it fell apart the way it always does. you take a few steps forward and the next thing you know you’re on the run again. cue the armada shit it’s hypercritical ‘cause it’s hypocritical if the rats take a piss and miss their mark. they’ll say the politics, i won’t get into it, it’d be rude to discuss relevant moral issues they burn it down, replacers get replaced and all the fish are left just swimming in place it’s Sisyphian, or …tantalizin’? you go online, and it’s a clusterfuck. you hate all the people who share your opinions cause they’re idiots. “and it’s complicated” it gets so complicated, all you can do is laugh wait for the weak willed swill of the Y.A.F. to torch you up. “torch me up” “torch me up!” you light me up and maybe, hey who knows? if it happens then it happens just reflects status quo. who knows? we sharpen spears, then take a run at the hounds. sweatin’ heavy at the conference add a notch to our belts. It’s a split screen. Cut with static we draw the line. and grow a culture of death. it’s skulls on pikes and dreams about rats and the ladder. say it’s a joke, we’ll never get that far, but take a few steps forward and the next thing you know they’re on the run again. new opportunity and it’s a doozy gals: the automous spectacle that contains the spectacle is shining. the skin peels off. the soles of my shoes mend. the horns of god sound, and the weird ears put money into crypto. good luck boys. la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la they concede, but it’s inadequate. you want another vote? well then we’ll vote with our fists. how’d you like that? About the funds, well we are the funds. and several hundred thousand million of us ain’t playin’. it’s getting hot in the underworld, but the turrets are all now pointed up and we will not stop. will not stop we will not stop we will not stop we’ll make it start we will not stop.

Never Enuff 07:30
the hands of fate move in mysterious ways, tugging at tired thin strings of our love in the places they’ve frayed. they shape the clay from which all our patience is built crack them wide open with violent defiance in kilns of our guilt try, as I may. but I know you won’t come through love’s not enuff, no, it’s never enuff, it’s never enuff for you our love ’s the darkness that hides in the heart of man. openly sobbing on my way back home while listening to “Marianne.” if truth is base, and heart is super structure love is class conflict with yr econ instructor try, as I may. but I know you won’t come through love’s not enuff, no, it’s never enuff, it’s never enuff for you study the stars as they pass every night, laughing aloud because you know you’re right. words are caught, choking my throat. push through to say it though I’m still afraid that I’ll never let go. try, as I may. but I know you won’t come through love’s not enuff, no, it’s never enuff, it’s never enuff for you

heaven is a place, when I am around you. clouds made of soft white lace, skies living room blue. stay close to me and I’ll give you just what you need. mystery and the strength to succeed. I can feel your love. I can feel it. oh, take it slow. cracks in the base of our love. listen close. souls singing songs about their loss. we should be old enough to know, what that means. just keep your eyes, on me. wait, don’t let go. touch as our lips open slowly. breathe deep. just speak to me love is labor, bread and roses and wine. we’ve both played the game before, but can’t make up our minds. I prefer the subtlety of hands pulling on a thread. traced palms and astrology, your fingers gently spread. I can feel your love. I can feel it. oh, take it slow. cracks in the base of our love. listen close. souls singing songs about their loss. we should be old enough to know, what that means. just keep your eyes, on me. wait, don’t let go. touch as our lips open slowly. breathe deep. just speak to me

about

Chicago polymaths arthhur follow-up their superb 2018 LP "Lost in the Walled City" with an even grander and more ambitious project: expanding on the wild, furious disco-punk of it's predecessor.

Drawing on influences from lean motorik krautrock, lush Philly soul, and the caged darkened post-punk reverberations of early 80s Martin Hannett production at Factory Records, arthhur promotes liberatory politics in a world that has grown increasingly hostile.

High drama and ghastly takes await this week on: OCCULT FRACTURES
